Huh I wasn t expecting to like this but I did Unfortunately it ended just when it started getting goingThis is like the ilot episode of a new tv series Just enough to Indulge (Warm Delicacy, piue your interest and the episode is over til next week Guess I ll have to buy the next book soon before I forget what happened in this one 375 starsI really enjoyed this book So romantic and a tad melancholy full of magic and longing it somehow tugged at my heartstringsBut I didn t like that mermen didn t have any tails Why would they need aair of legs in the ocean Ugh I liked this story a lot The story despite being short was well written with a Tabloid City promise of to come The characters both main and side were very likable and approachable The idea of a human who does not know he is not human falling in love with merman is so cool I loved their initial meeting especially after what happened to Gabriel therevious night Nah ah not tellin. Gabriel Braven is destined for a great love but he does not believe it His arents had a storybook romance until a freak ocean storm robbed them of their lives and left him alone to be raised by his grandmother With their deaths Gabriel’s adoration for the sea turned to fear and his belief in happy ever afters turned to dust Gabriel vowed to never set foot in the ocean again
G I loved it I do not mind cliffhangers at all So I enjoyed the build up to their meeting a lot Plus the expressions of grief were well written and heart felt I am off to read the next one Hmmm well it wasn t what I was expecting MM Merman PNR Honestly I was filling a challenge slot But the story itself and the characters were uite good However it was too short and ended with no real resolution you have to read on That kinda ticks my hide Even in a series a book shouldn t just abruptly end like that at a ivotal moment I toyed with giving it less stars but if you re into MM merpeople it actually did have decent characters But it s not really my thing and I am annoyed enough at where it ended that I doubt I ll bother To read on Series review at then end of Book 5 I was in the mood for some merman fun and this one suits To Him Who Sits on the Throne perfectly Plus the added bonus of Chris Patton narrating Winwinon to Acceptance Nd to never believe in love Gabriel kept thatromise until after his junior year of college when he and his best friend Corey return to the ocean side town where he lost his arents in order to help his grandmother Gabriel’s bitter fear of the water has only grown along with his belief that it is his destiny to be forever alone Corey is determined to rove Gabriel wrong It is.

Felt like i just read a gay version of Shape of Water and I loved it review to come Goodreads Blog Pinterest LinkedIn YouTube Instagram FREE on today 1122020 3 Great start to a mer story Fantastic narration Butthis stopped as soon as it started to get going I know there is a second book but this one by itself doesn t complete a story arc Also some of the dialogue seemed a bit forced and I had a weird time fully accepting the characterization of his best friend in a Santa Claus trope This engaged me enough to want to continue on with the series GREAT underwater dream sex scene I don t want to deter anyone from reading this because it was written well and it had a great smexy scene to it I also don t want to throw in the towel for all things mermen I simply think the story arc view spoilerof finding out you re a merman and resisting it frustratingly and understandably due to Youth, Beautiful Youth past trauma hide spoiler. His mission that summer for Gabriel to find love on the beach and maybe do some swimming too Gabriel will settle for simply not reliving hisarents’ deaths every time he hears the rush and shush of the waves Both may get their wish as Gabriel discovers the hidden ast of the Bravens and the sea sends someone amazing to his aid BOOK 2 IS AVAILABLE FOR PREORDER ASIN B00N3D7MA2.
